With echo of mantras on banks of Nagvasuki temple
Prayagraj: The Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, Prayagraj Division, celebrated the Varsha Pratipada festival with great enthusiasm and zeal to mark the arrival of the Hindu New Year. As the first rays of the sun touched the sacred banks of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, the Nagvasuki Temple complex reverberated with patriotic chants. The program began with the flag hoisting in the presence of the rising sun. The volunteers, dressed in full uniform, offered prayers in a disciplined manner, accompanied by a band, and filled the atmosphere with patriotism with a collective rendition of Vande Mataram. Dr. Kritika Agarwal presided over the event, emphasizing the active role of women in building society. During the event, the volunteers received a paath from Manju Darbari, the patron of the Prayagraj Division and co-communication head for the Kashi Province. She highlighted the cultural and historical significance of Varsha Pratipada and inspired the volunteers to continue moving forward on the path of their goals.
On this occasion, Prayagraj department’s department in-charge Priya Tiwari, Sulochana, Sudha, Seema, Nitika, Asha, Sandhya, Himkanya, Aastha, Reena, Pragati, Ranjana, Anjali, Sadhna Ghosh were in the team. While Sagarika, Reena, Shambhavi, Pallavi, Arya, Garima, Shashwati and hundreds of Sevikas of the department were present. The melodious sounds of Ghosh mesmerized the gathering. As per the tradition of the committee, this first celebration of the year infused new energy and determination within the Sevikas.
