Grand celebration of Lord Mahavir Jayanti, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani performed aarti

On Monday, the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir was celebrated with great pomp and show as Mahavir Jayanti by the Prayagraj Jain community. This festival was organized by Shri Digambar Jain Panchayati Sabha Prayagraj. On this occasion, all the religious brothers living in the entire Prayagraj city and surrounding areas like Pritam Nagar, Beniganj, Katra, Naini, Zero Road participate in the day-long events organized at Zero Road. The programs begin with the morning procession from Zero Road Jain Temple at 5 am. After this, the event was formally inaugurated with the flag hoisting at Jain Dharamshala by Dinesh Kumar Jain, President of Digambar Jain Panchayati Sabha, other office bearers of the committee and workers of the organizing committee, Shri Rajiv Jain Naini and dignitaries of the community.

A huge procession commemorating the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira started from the Zero Road Jain Temple, in which Shri K.K. Agarwal rode on the Jain chariot carrying Lord Mahavira.

All these fortunate noble people took the idol of Lord Mahavir from Shri Mandir Ji to Nalki and placed it on the chariot, took Lord Saudharma Indra and placed him on the throne on the chariot and the other four Ishan, Mahendra, Sanatkumar and Brahma Indra joined the procession by riding on the chariot while waving a fan on the Lord. Along with all these, Mr. Ajay Kumar Jain, Senior Advocate of High Court got the privilege of being Kuber Indra on the chariot. He was riding on the chariot and showering gems all along the way and enhancing the beauty of the Rath Yatra. On this occasion

Prayagraj Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani performed the aarti of the Lord and joined the procession. Dinesh Kumar Jain and his wife, dressed as the Lord’s parents, rode in a separate carriage. A large number of women, elderly people, children, and religious people, all wearing similar saris, participated in the Rath Yatra. A variety of bands and tableaux were included, with the highlight being a band of young children from the Jain school, whose performance captivated everyone. Throughout the route of the procession, people welcomed the procession at their homes or institutions and expressed their devotion by performing aarti of the Lord seated on the chariot.

Upon the return of the Rath Yatra, Lord Mahavir was anointed with 108 gold and silver urns at the Jain Dharamshala. Today, in the atmosphere of war and the unrest and fear prevailing in the world, a grand Shanti Dhara was performed with the spirit of world peace and the welfare of all living beings, including humanity. A program of cradling the child form of Lord Vardhaman and congratulatory songs were also held.

In the evening, students from Jain Vidyalaya and the Mahila Mandal Prayagraj presented cultural programs. Jain Milan Prayagraj provided cold beverages for everyone. A community feast for the participating devotees was also arranged at the Jain Dharamshala, and a bhandara (bhandara) was held throughout the day outside the Zero Road Jain Temple.

In this procession, mainly the President of Panchayati Sabha Dinesh Kumar Jain, General Secretary Rajesh Jain, Nirmal Jain, Regional Working President and Patron of Jain Milan Pradyumna Kumar Jain, Organiser of the event Vikas Jain, Non-Violence Rally Convener Rakesh Jain (BJP Pritam Nagar), Arun Jain, Akhilesh Jain (Tappan), Advocate Mahendra Jain, Arpan Jain, Amit Jain (Beniganj), Manish Jain (Katra), Alok Jain Raparia, Aditya Jain, Ankit Jain, Atman Jain, Yash Jain, Rajiv Jain Media Incharge Rajesh Kesarwani, along with many eminent citizens and social workers took active participation.
