Free health camps organised at 172 locations
Prayagraj: On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Constitution maker Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, taking forward the service work with dedication, a huge free health check-up and treatment campaign was successfully completed in the entire district today by Seva Bharti, Prayagraj Department and National Medicos Organization (NMO). Under this mega campaign, health camps were organised in 172 deprived and service settlements of urban and rural areas, in which health check-up, consultation and free medicine distribution was done for more than 20,000 people. In this campaign, about 550 doctors and paramedical staff and more than 1400 volunteers took active part and made the service work successful.
Along with the check-up of common diseases in the camps, special consultation was given to women, children and elderly people and essential medicines were distributed on the spot, which provided great relief to the needy people living in remote areas.
In this service work organized under the guidance of Area Service Chief Yudhveer Ji, Kashi Province Service Chief Satya Vijay Ji, Seva Bharti’s Department President Sujit Singh, Department Service Chief Veer Krishna Ji and Vindhyachal Ji, General Secretary Pawan Srivastava Ji, Minister Dr. Santosh Singh Patel, Shalabh Srivastava, Sandeep Chaudhary Ji and Sunil Singh Mintu Ji, Area Vice President of NMO Dr. Kamalakar Singh, Kashi Province Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rai Ji, Department Secretary Akhilesh Ji, Naini Service Chief Ramraj Ji, Prayag South Service Chief Satyendra Ji, Prayag North Service Chief Vibhuti Ji, Yamunapar Service Chief Atul Ji, Advocate Rahul Ji and many other workers were present.
During the program, senior administrative and public representatives of the district were also present with dignity.
Prayagraj’s Divisional Commissioner, Mrs. Soumya Agarwal, District Magistrate Manish Verma, Chief Development Officer Harshika Singh, and MLA Mr. Deepak Patel visited various medical camps, paid tribute to the portrait of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, and after visiting the camps, observed the arrangements and underwent health checkups themselves. They praised this service, calling it a very useful initiative for the underprivileged sections of society.
In this great campaign, important support and guidance was also received from senior doctors of the medical world. Principal of Motilal Nehru Medical College Dr. V.K. Pandey, former Principal and world-renowned ophthalmologist Dr. S.P. Singh, Chief Medical Officer Dr. A.K. Tiwari and Dr. R.C. Pandey were present and played a significant role in the successful organization of the health camps. Many doctors including Dr. Dinesh Singh, Dr. Deepak Singh, Dr. Akhilesh, Dr. Gaurav, Dr. Atma Prakash, Dr. Radhika, Dr. Ram Siya Singh, Dr. Ravi Singh, Dr. Monica T, Dr. Shashi Prakash Mishra, Dr. K B Singh, Dr. Harshit Gautam, Dr. Bablu Sonkar, Dr. Ankita Pandey, Dr. Rajni Kant Kushwaha, Dr. Abhishek provided their services.
The organisers said that this mega campaign was being planned for the last several weeks and its objective is not limited to treatment only but also to spread health awareness among the deprived sections of the society. At the end, the organizers expressed their gratitude to all the doctors, volunteers and associates and said that such service work will continue in the future also. Sujit Singh (President, Seva Bharti Prayagraj) expressed his happiness and said that
“This is not just a health camp, but a commitment to provide services to the last person in society. We are constantly striving to ensure that no one in need is deprived of healthcare.”
