Lucknow Christian (Methodist) Primary School Land Scam

Prayagraj: It is being alleged that the land worth crores belonging to Lucknow Christian (Methodist) Primary School has been transferred in the name of Baba Ramdev and the Uttar Pradesh government, sparking turmoil in the city. This case has deeply shaken the social and educational landscape of Lucknow. The land, which should have been the foundation for children’s education and their bright future, is reportedly being handed over to private hands through secret deals and crores worth of transactions, raising widespread concern.

The school’s land, located in the heart of Lucknow, is considered an invaluable heritage for education. According to sources, an open game is being played under the guise of a lease. Allegations suggest that the lease is being used to make the transfer appear legitimate, while behind closed doors, discussions of crores in transactions are rife. Sources further claim that a syndicate has played a crucial role: local residents say that an entire syndicate scripted the transfer of this precious land into private hands.

Now the question arises: have educational institutions’ lands become an open market for brokers and influential people? If even school property is not safe, whom can the common man trust? At whose behest was children’s land handed over to private interests?

Custodians of church assets — Dr. Rahul Uthwal, N. B. Montrose, Sanjog Walter, C. R. William, Dhirendra Nath Srivastava, Anurag Singh, Abul Kalam Raine, Himanshu Kaul Shami Mohammed Irfan, Jasmin Lal, Jaywant Lal, Sushil Paul, Rajiv Kumar, Thakur Shiv Sagar Singh, Mohammed Afreen, Loyed Ederson, Sudipa Mitra, Uttam Kumar Banerjee, Satish Chandra Dhulia, among others — have opposed this so-called lease.  The public demand is for a free and impartial investigation into the entire matter. The lease terms must be made public, and the people must be informed under what conditions the land was leased. Clear accountability must be sought from the responsible officials and institutions. This issue is not just about land, but about the conscience of society itself.
