Prayagraj: P.C. Joshi, husband of senior BJP leader and former MP from the Allahabad parliamentary constituency, Prof. Rita Bahuguna Joshi, died of a brain hemorrhage at SGPGI, Lucknow, on Monday. His body was brought from Lucknow to his residence in Prayagraj on Monday evening. A large number of political, social, and public figures arrived to pay their last respects and extended heartfelt tributes. His family performed his last rites with tearful eyes at the Sangam Daraganj crematorium today.
It is noteworthy that Professor Rita Bahuguna Joshi’s husband, the late PC Joshi, was highly educated and studied engineering in Moscow. During his career, he held senior positions in several prominent institutions and retired from the TCL company in Naini. He also played a significant role in the family’s political activities and remained a strong support system in every situation. His passing has caused an irreparable loss to the family. He leaves behind his wife, Professor Rita Bahuguna Joshi, a son, Mayank, and a daughter-in-law, Richa.
City Congress President Fuzail Hashmi, Kishore Varshney, Harikesh Tripathi, and former MLA Vijay Prakash paid tribute to the late husband of former Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President and former MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi by laying wreaths on his body at his Minto Road residence. Later, Congress members went to Daraganj Ghat and participated in the funeral. They described PC Joshi’s death as an irreparable loss. Joshi was cremated at 3 p.m. in the presence of hundreds of tearful fans. Former Mayor Chaudhary Jitendra Nath Singh was also present.
