Prayagraj: An important meeting was held at Samhai Bypass in the Shringverpur block under the Phaphamau assembly constituency of the district regarding the selection of the district president under the organization creation campaign of the Congress party. The chief guests present at the meeting were ICC Secretary and Organization Incharge Sarita Left Long and Ujjwal Shukla. Gangapar President Ashfaq Ahmed presided over the event. PCC member and former Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary Ashish Pandey led and conducted the event.
On this occasion, a large number of workers including Vinod Tiwari, Ranjeet Mishra, Brijesh Singh, Rajeshwari Patel, Shiv Murti Vishwakarma, Pramod Mishra, Nived Farooqui, Sandeep Mishra, Pradeep Shukla, Chandan Yadav, Gore Patel, Shivpujan Patel, Rakesh Patel were present. Addressing the meeting, ICC Secretary Sarita Leftlong said that district presidents will no longer be appointed from anyone’s pocket. Reports will be sent to the AIC in Delhi after speaking directly with ordinary workers.
He said that the final decision will be taken by National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Organization Incharge KC Venugopal, National General Secretary Rajendra Pal Gautam and State President Ajay Rai. Sarita Left Long said that the president of Congress will be the one who talks to the common people, who has a good social image, has leadership ability and who can take people of every caste along with him. In the meeting, there was also detailed discussion on strengthening the organization and increasing the participation of ground workers.
