Glory of Shiva resonates in Sangam city, with grand and divine launch of Shiva Mahapuran Katha

Prayagraj: In Daraganj, the holy city of religion and faith, the grand 15-day Shiva Mahapuran Katha began on Sunday, the first day of Adhik Maas, in a highly divine and devotional atmosphere. The Kalash Yatra, which began in the morning amid music and chants of “Har Har Mahadev,” filled the entire area with spiritual energy. Hundreds of devotees joined the sacred procession, filling the atmosphere with Shiva.

In the evening, the Shiv Mahapuran Katha was formally inaugurated by Acharya Nityanand Giri who had come from Vrindavan. On the first day of the Katha, on Sunday, a very emotional description was given of the greatness of Lord Shiva, his infinite grace and his divine form for the welfare of the universe. The devotees were overwhelmed after listening to it. Acharya Nityanand Giri said that among the 18 Puranas and 18 Upanishads, Shivpuran is the only divine text whose story’s initial influence is believed to be connected to the holy land of Prayagraj. He also presented a detailed lecture on various stories of Shiv Mahapuran popular from North to South India.

The main host of the Katha, Ramakrishna Tiwari, listened to the Katha with his wife. He also performed the rituals and offered prayers. A huge crowd of devotees gathered at the Katha site, immersing the entire area in the bliss of Shiva’s devotion. The divine Shiva Katha is also being broadcast live so that devotees from far and wide can enjoy the nectar of Shiva’s glory. The very beginning of the Katha created such a spiritual atmosphere that the entire Daraganj area resonated with Shiva’s energy.
