Justice and Mayor present, Indian Air Force band enthralled audience

Prayagraj: To mark the completion of 90 glorious years of All India Radio, a live music evening was organized in the auditorium of the North Central Region Cultural Center on Monday. The program, organized by All India Radio Prayagraj, was inaugurated by lighting a lamp by Kamlesh Kumar Gupta, Deputy Director General of Engineering and Cluster Head.

Program Head Neha Gupta highlighted the historic journey of All India Radio. She explained that on June 8, 1936, the Indian State Broadcasting Service was renamed All India Radio. Today, All India Radio reaches 98% of the country’s population through 591 stations, 23 languages, and 146 dialects.

Justice NC Tripathi of the Allahabad High Court was the chief guest at the ceremony. Justice Siddharth Verma and Justice Kunal Ravi Singh were present as special guests. Mayor Umesh Chandra Kesarwani, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Garima Srivastava, and Amit Mishra were also present.

In the cultural program, Khushi Pandey of Shambhunath Institute presented a Kathak dance. Folk artist Babulal Bhanvra and party enthralled the audience with folk songs. Akashvani solo artist Priya Dwivedi performed songs. The performance of the Indian Air Force’s musical band was also appreciated. Director General Kamlesh Kumar Gupta praised All India Radio’s role in social awareness and national unity. Assistant Director Dheeraj Kumar, Program Officer Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Sudaram Tiwari, Abhay Kant Tiwari, Abhinav Pragya Pandey, Mohammad Shamim, and Bhupendra Kumar Mishra were present. The program was conducted by Dr. Dhananjay Chopra. The program concluded at 9 pm with the national anthem.
