Prayagraj: An important meeting of the Peace Committee was held at the local Kotwali police station premises to ensure a harmonious and peaceful celebration of the upcoming Eid al-Adha (Bakrid). The meeting was chaired by Peace Committee Chairman Abdul Aziz Chand Bhai. Appeal for strict social media restrictions: The most important decision taken at the meeting concerned the use of social media. Congress leader Irshad Ullah made a special appeal to community members not to share photos or videos of sacrifices on social media. He said that the main purpose of festivals is to share happiness and maintain social harmony. We should fully respect the sentiments of other religions.
Emphasizing mutual brotherhood, prominent citizens from both Hindu and Muslim communities present at the meeting unanimously stated that maintaining the city’s Ganga-Jamuni culture is our collective responsibility. They assured full cooperation with the administration and disregarded any rumors.
Present at the meeting were: Mohammad Aamir, Councilor Tahir Ansari, Councilor Zia Ubaid Khan, Shakeel Ahmed Guddu, Nayyar Bhai, Haji Chand, Sarafa Vyapar Mandal President Sanjay, Rashid Bhai, Yakub Bhai, Arshad Zaidi Arshad Naqvi, Chandrapal Yadav, Shaheen Begum, Neelam Seema Nishad, along with many prominent citizens and police officials from the area. All speakers pledged to maintain peace and law and order in the city.
