Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has granted conditional bail to Sundarlal Nishad, who was arrested with 21 kg 100 grams of marijuana. Justice Jitendra Kumar Sinha issued this order after hearing the petitioner’s lawyer, Rajiv Kumar Tiwari. He stated that the petitioner is innocent. While marijuana has been shown to have been recovered from the petitioner and co-accused Suresh Yadav in the Ramkola police station area of Kushinagar, a sample was not taken as per the rules, nor was the seizure certified by a judicial magistrate. Section 52A of the NDPS Act, which is mandatory, was not followed. The petitioner has been in jail since March 24, 2026. The public prosecutor stated that Section 52 and the rules had been followed. Considering the facts, the court granted the petitioner bail without examining the merits.
