Prayagraj: In the matches played in the Rotary Allahabad North Cup U17 Football Competition today at the football ground of Vishnu Bhagwan Public School, Jhalwa Prayagraj, the Northern Football Academy team defeated Golden Hawks by 3-0 and registered their fourth win with full points. Before today’s match, Atul Siddharth, Secretary of Prayagraj District Boxing Association, introduced himself to the players of both the teams and shared many ways with the players to stay fit.

According to Organizing Secretary Indranil Ghosh, in the 17th minute of the first half of the match, Northern’s striker Vedant Tripathi scored a brilliant goal by dribbling past two opposition defenders on a wall pass from Nishant Mishra. The team was ahead by one goal till the interval. In the second half of the game, Northern’s players started making many good moves, which paid off in the 32nd minute when Vedant scored a goal with a header from Utkarsh’s corner kick, giving them a 2-0 lead. In the 40th minute of the game, the referee awarded a penalty for Dravyansh’s handball in the penalty box, on which Aniket scored a goal, ensuring the team’s victory by 3-0.
