Prayagraj: On Friday, Vaishya International Association Vaya provided financial assistance of Rs 28 lakh to 6 families of Prayagraj to make them strong and self-reliant by saving people from losing their business and loved ones in a natural disaster or any accident and from the burden of debt. In the program organized at Hotel Zone Connect located in Civil Lines, in the presence of founder member of Vaishya International Association and former Mayor of Prayagraj, Mrs. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi and officials of Vaya, financial assistance was provided to the traders as well as other people who had suffered losses of lakhs of rupees due to a massive fire at two places in Naini area recently.
The Vaishya International Association presented a check for 2.5 lakh rupees to Raj Kumar Kesarwani, a businessman living in Nai Bazaar, Naini. Recently, goods worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in a fire caused by a short circuit in his shop.
A cheque of ten lakh rupees was presented as financial assistance to Sanjeev Kumar Kesarwani, a businessman resident of Chak Raghunath New Market, Naini. On May 12th, a massive fire broke out in Sanjeev Kesarwani’s warehouse and home due to a short circuit. His children were also trapped in the fire. His wife, Archana Gupta, suffered severe burns while trying to save the children.
He died during treatment. Minister Nandi had recently visited his home and promised help.
Similarly, Lalji, a resident of Mohtsimganj, was provided ten thousand rupees to support his family by opening a tea shop. Rajesh Kumar Vaishya, also a resident of Mohtsimganj, lost his 24-year-old son, who was the family’s main source of livelihood, after falling from a roof. Rajesh Kumar Vaishya was provided financial assistance of fifty thousand rupees to further his family’s livelihood.
Recently, a fire broke out in the clothing store of businessman Om Prakash Kesarwani, a resident of Sant Kabir Ravi Das Nagar. Clothing worth lakhs of rupees was destroyed. To help him rebuild his business, the Vaishya International Association provided Om Prakash Kesarwani with a cheque of ten lakh rupees as financial assistance.
George Town resident Aradhana Sahu was given financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to make her empowered and self-reliant and to open a boutique.
Former Mayor of Prayagraj and founding member of the Vaishya International Association, Mrs. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, said that the Vaishya International Association’s objective is to connect the underprivileged and needy with the mainstream of development. Before attending the financial assistance ceremony, Rajesh Gupta, General Secretary of the Vaishya International Association, visited Maa Ki Rasoi with his officials.
