Victory for public sentiment
Prayagraj/Ghazipur: Residents and various sections of society have expressed satisfaction over the reinstallation of the plaque that was removed from the Martyr Mahesh Kushwaha Memorial Gate in Jaitpura village. Rajnikant Srivastava, State Co-ordinator of the Bharatiya Janata Party NGO Cell, expressed his gratitude to the district administration, saying this represents a victory for public sentiment, social respect, and the continued struggle of activists.
He said that respect for martyrs transcends party, caste, or political ideology. Martyr Mahesh Kushwaha made the supreme sacrifice for the nation and society, and therefore, the memorial gate established in his name symbolizes the reverence and pride of the entire society. Any tampering with such monuments or memorials not only insults the honor of the martyrs but also hurts the sentiments of society. Akhilesh Yadav should rise above caste and work for nationalism. Today, we are all safe due to the martyrdom of the army and soldiers. Do not allow the martyrs to be insulted.
Rajnikanth Srivastava said that activists and local citizens raised their voices in a democratic and peaceful manner, resulting in the administration taking cognizance of the matter and reinstalling the plaque. The district administration should be thanked and congratulated for this. Yogi Modi’s government, with its commitment to everyone, development for all, and trust in everyone, now honors great men and martyrs in the government.
He said that this incident was extremely unfortunate and raised many serious questions for society. Society expects all political parties to display equal sensitivity and respect for every class, community, and great men. Differences of opinion may exist in a democracy, but any compromise on respect for martyrs and other symbols of society’s pride is unacceptable.
Finally, he said that the memory of martyr Mahesh Kushwaha will always inspire the society with patriotism, courage and service and it is the moral responsibility of all of us to preserve his honour.
