Prayagraj: On the eighth Bade Mangal of the month of Jyeshtha, devotees thronged the Shri Bade Hanuman Ji temple since early morning to have darshan. A grand decoration of Bade Hanuman Ji Maharaj was done in the Shri Bade Hanuman temple of Prayagraj. On this occasion, a grand decoration was done with one and a half quintals of mangoes, two and a half quintals of apples, one quintal of oranges, one quintal of pomegranates and fifty dozen bananas and flowers. Mahant Shri Balbir Giri Ji Maharaj of Baghambari Math and Bade Hanuman temple performed the Maha Aarti. There, Sunderkand was recited.

On the occasion of the last Bade Mangal, special puja was performed at the Shri Bade Hanuman Temple. The temple was decorated with fruits and flowers. Along with this, special decoration of Bade Hanuman Ji Maharaj was also done. Abhishek and Aarti of Shri Bade Hanuman Ji was performed in the morning Mangala period. After this, collective Sunder Kand was recited. Keeping in view the heat, arrangements for drinking water were made. Devotees from far and wide reached to have darshan of Lord Shri Bade Hanuman Ji on the last Tuesday of the month of Jyeshtha. The crowd remained till late evening. At the same time, special arrangements of tents and fans were also made to protect the devotees from the sun. Mahant Balbir Giri Ji Maharaj told that Bajrang Bali lying in the Bade Hanuman Temple is considered as the city Kotwal of Prayagraj.
