Prayagraj: Under the theme “Drug Free India Campaign: Identity of Developed India”, various awareness activities were organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit (055) of Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Mahavidyalaya (RTMM), Prayagraj, as part of the Drug De-addiction Public Awareness Week being run from 17 June 2026 to 26 June 2026. Under the campaign, slogan competition was organised on 17 June 2026, poster competition on 21 June 2026 and story writing competition on 23 June 2026. The programme was conducted under the guidance of respected Principal of the college, Prof. Ajay Prakash Khare.
Volunteers enthusiastically participated in the competitions, effectively presenting the ill effects of drug addiction, a healthy lifestyle, and the role of youth in building a developed India through their slogans, posters, and stories. The volunteers’ presentations, full of creativity, social consciousness, and awareness, impressed everyone.
On this occasion, the respected Principal, Prof. Ajay Prakash Khare, reviewed the posters, slogans, and stories prepared by the volunteers and praised them. Expressing his views, Prof. Ajay Prakash Khare said, “Building a drug-free India is possible only when the young generation is self-aware and takes the responsibility of making the society aware as well. All the volunteers are making people aware of the ill effects of drugs through their posters, slogans, and stories. Such creative efforts play an important role in bringing positive change in society and building a developed India.”
Prof. Ajay Prakash Khare furthered his thoughts by saying, “Youth power is the true strength of the nation. If the youth stay away from drugs and embrace education, culture, and positive life values, then it is possible to build a healthy, aware, and developed India.”
The program was graced by the presence of senior teachers Prof. Neelima Singh, Prof. Namita Yadav, Dr. Priyanka Sharma (Programme Officer, National Service Scheme), Dr. Amitendra Pratap Singh, Dr. Vivek Singh, Dr. Shaminaz Bano, Dr. Anshu Tripathi, Dr. Varsha Agarwal, Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, college teachers, research scholars, non-teaching staff and all the volunteers of National Service Scheme.
Through competitions, volunteers spread awareness about drug addiction and pledged to make society drug-free. Finally, volunteers were sworn in to spread awareness for a drug-free society and to stay away from drugs themselves. The program concluded successfully.
