Teacher creator of society, honing talent his biggest responsibility: Justice Gautam Chaudhary
Prayagraj: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, a function was organised at Rajarshi Tandon Seva Kendra, Bank Road, Prayagraj to honour disabled teachers and teachers who have done remarkable work in the field of disabled people. 35 teachers were honoured with ‘Ashtavakra Gaurav Samman’ in the function, which included teachers Dr Shyam Sundar Mishra, Dr Nihar Ranjan, Dr Vivek Nath Tripathi, Santosh Sharma Ayodhya, Mrs Punita Mishra, Sukrit Mathur, Shiv Prasad Tripathi. The chief guest of the programme was Hon’ble Justice Gautam Chaudhary of Allahabad High Court.
In his address, Justice Gautam Chaudhary stated that building a strong India is possible only when all religions, sects, classes, and castes are brought together. He added that teachers play a crucial role in shaping a person’s life, whether good or bad.
Speaking on the importance of Hindi and English, he said that Hindi is our mother and is essential to understanding India. English is essential to connect with the world, but speaking English is not proof of one’s erudition. On patriotism, he said that patriotism does not come from just singing songs, but speaking the truth is also necessary for patriotism.
Justice Chaudhary said that talent is not limited to any one class or situation. If talent were not everywhere, the country would not have had great personalities like Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Highlighting the role of teachers, he said that a stone that withstands the blows of a chisel and hammer becomes a statue of God, while one that cannot withstand the blows remains a stone used to break coconuts outside temples. He said that on Teachers’ Day, every teacher should self-evaluate how many talents they have nurtured in their lives, who later went on to make their place in society.
Saluting the spirit of disabled teacher Shrinarayan Yadav: At the very beginning of the program, Justice Gautam Chaudhary praised the spirit of disabled teacher and senior social worker Shrinarayan Yadav. He said that he wholeheartedly salutes the disabled teachers and people with disabilities who have made a place for themselves in society through their hard work and struggle. He said that teachers play a crucial role in shaping a person’s personality and character.
A call to embody Dr. Radhakrishnan’s ideals: Presiding over the event, National President of Lok Sevak Mandal, Rajkumar Chopra, highlighted the life and ideals of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He said that every person should draw inspiration from Dr. Radhakrishnan’s life and conduct and embrace his ideals.
Prayagraj is proud of this event: Abhay Kumar Srivastava – Special guest Abhay Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Director, Department for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Prayagraj Division, said that this event honoring teachers with disabilities and those working in the field of disability is commendable. Prayagraj itself is proud of such an event.
They played a key role in the program, moderated by educationist Brahmaprakash Tiwari. The welcome address was delivered by Ravi Shankar Mishra, media in-charge of the Lok Sevak Mandal, while the vote of thanks was given by senior social worker and teacher Shrinarayan Yadav and Chandrabhan Dwivedi.
Omprakash Shukla, Abhishek Chauhan, Pyare Lal Yadav, Comrade Manoj Pandey, Mrs. Madhu Yadav, Anuradha, Prashant Maurya, Lavlesh Singh, Rakesh Banodha, Anil Kumar Jaiswal, Ghanshyam Master, Anil, Ram Raghuveer, Dr. Sudha Pandey, Padma and hundreds of social workers, teachers and eminent citizens of the city were present in the function.
