Prayagraj: An important meeting of ‘Bazm-e-Ahabab’, dedicated to Urdu literature and social concerns, was held at the residence of Kareli social worker Asrar Niazi. The meeting was chaired by Bazm-e-Ahabab’s president Amjad Hussain ‘Ravi’. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that a grand Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira will be organised in Prayagraj on 13 September 2026 in the memory of renowned litterateur and poet late Shakir Hussain ‘Tashna’. The objective of the programme is to convey the message of literature, love and social harmony to the people by reverently remembering the literary services and memories of late ‘Tashna’. The poets and social workers present in the meeting discussed various topics to make the program successful and dignified.

Suhail Akhtar, Asrar Niazi, Bakhtiyar Yusuf and Mohammad Shahab Hanfi were prominently present in the meeting. According to the organizers, renowned poets and writers from the country and state will participate in the program and will pay tribute to the late Shakir Hussain ‘Tashna’ through their creations. Bazm-e-Ahabab has appealed to literature lovers, poets, writers and the city residents to make the program a success by joining it in large numbers.
