Prayagraj: Girls’ High School & College celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September, 2026 with great enthusiasm, warmth and profound gratitude, honouring the teachers whose dedication, wisdom and tireless efforts continue to illuminate young minds and shape lives. Thoughtfully organised by the students, the celebration was a vibrant tribute to the mentors who inspire their students to dream with purpose, learn with curiosity and move forward with confidence.
The celebration was honoured by the gracious presence of Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, City Magistrate, Prayagraj. Whose presence lent a special significance to the occasion. He was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Rev. Dr. Vinita Eusebius, making a gracious beginning to the festivities.
The morning assembly was organised by the students to honour the teachers. The theme for the assembly was “Teachers-Architects of Tomorrow”. The students who had participated enthusiastically in the CISCE Initiative – Poem Writing Competition on the theme “The Nation Begins in the Classroom” were also honoured for their commendable participation in the assembly. A significant part of the assembly was the Teachers’ Oath-Taking Ceremony, wherein the teachers solemnly reaffirmed their commitment to their profession and pledged to uphold the values of fairness, integrity, holistic education and nation –building.
The programme commenced with a solemn word of prayer, invoking the blessings of the Almighty and seeking His guidance for the auspicious occasion. It was followed by a warm welcome address, expressing sincere appreciation for the teachers’ unwavering guidance, encouragement and support. The cake cutting ceremony marked a joyous beginning to the festivities, followed by an energetic inaugural dance performance that set a vibrant tone for the celebrations.
The programme unfolded through an engaging array of activities and performances. The “Secret Mission Cards” game generated curiosity and laughter, while the students’ skit, presented with humour and creativity, conveyed a meaningful message. The graceful classical performance added an artistic and cultural dimension, showcasing the students’ talent and appreciation for India’s rich heritage.
The “Golden Ticket” game brought another wave of excitement and enthusiastic participation. The ramp walk added elegance and exuberance to the occasion, followed by a lively dance by the boarders. A particularly melodious segment was the song by the choir, presented as a heartfelt tribute to the teachers. This was followed by a vibrant cultural performance, showcasing the creativity, confidence and diverse talents of the students.
On this special occasion, the Principal, Rev. Dr. V. Eusebius, delivered an inspiring message in which she lauded the teachers for their dedication, hard work, and selfless service. She reminded the students to always value and respect their mentors, whose guidance paves the way to success. She also urged the teachers to continue igniting curiosity and confidence in every learner, shaping not just bright scholars but responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest expressed her appreciation for the teaching fraternity and shared inspiring thoughts on the profound role of teachers in shaping young minds and building the future. Her words of encouragement and admiration added depth and significance to the celebration.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to everyone whose efforts contributed to the success of the occasion. The Teachers’ Day celebration was more than a sequence of performances and activities; it was a heartfelt expression of gratitude, affection and respect for the profound teacher-student bond.
