Prayagraj: In the sequence of various programs organized under the Official Language Hindi Week (10.09.2026 to 16.09.2026) at Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Constituent Allahabad University, Malviya Nagar, Prayagraj, on Tuesday Munshi Premchand’s play Algyozha was staged by Bargad Kala Manch. Firstly, the program was inaugurated by Patron Principal Professor Ajay Prakash Khare, Coordinator Neelima Singh, Dr. Hariom, Professor Namita Yadav by garlanding the photographs of Mother Saraswati and Hindi servant, Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purushottam Das Tandon ji.
First, the stage host, Dr. Yashasvi Singh, discussed the constitutional provisions for celebrating Hindi Diwas, followed by an introduction to the Official Language Implementation Committee of Allahabad University. The title of the play, “Algyozha,” described a family experience, meaning the division of the kitchen. Program coordinator Professor Neelima Singh welcomed the director of the play, Dr. Hari Om, staged by the Banyan Arts Forum, by presenting him with a plant.
A very lively presentation of a poignant play was given by Kala Manch. At the conclusion of the program, Principal Professor Ajay Prakash Khare honored all the artists with certificates and mementos. In his address, the Principal clarified that timeless stories are always relevant and that this performance provided an insight into the realities of life.
At the end of the program, the coordinator of the program, Professor Neelima Singh, expressed her gratitude. On this occasion, Asghar Ali of Buniyad, teachers of the college, Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Dr. Amitendra Pratap Singh, Dr. Yashasvi Singh, Dr. Vivek Singh, Dr. Shaminaz, Dr. Manoj, Dr. Yashasvi Pandey, Dr. Abhishek Tiwari and a large number of students and researchers were present. Tomorrow the Official Language Week will conclude in the college in which Professor Kumar Virendra will give a lecture and certificates will be given to the winning participants.
