Prayagraj: Rotary Prayagraj Platinum organized a grand “Platinum Star Icon Awards 2025-26” in the year 2025-26 in honor of Rotarians who made significant contributions in social service, human service, medicine, blood donation, disaster relief and helping the needy. Under the leadership of President Rotarian Dr. Pratik Pandey, the club received 42 district awards among 103 clubs of Rotary District 3120. According to the club, 51 new members joined during the year, 105 service projects were conducted, more than $25,000 was contributed to the Rotary Foundation and a global grant of about Rs 36.5 lakh was received. The function started with the welcome address of the current President Rotarian Ajay Sharma.
The ceremony honored Rotarians who contributed to various projects, including the “Raktaparna” blood donation drive, medical camps, flood relief, orphanage and old-age home service, assistance to disabled and specially-abled children, installation of water coolers, and service activities at Naini Central Jail. Blood Donation Icon Awards were presented to Dr. Sharad Jain, Nitin Chopra, and Ashutosh Singh, Life Saving Icon Awards to doctors, and Platinum Superwoman Icon Awards to women members. In individual categories, Dr. Sharad Jain was awarded the Platinum Star, Ajay Sharma for Leadership, Charter President Ritesh Singh for Best Mentor, Dr. Anuj Gupta for Platinum Star of the Year, and Rotarian Manish Garg for Media Star Icon Award. New Rotarian couples and members who have made significant contributions to the Rotary Foundation were also honored.
In his address, Rotarian Dr. Pratik Pandey attributed the club’s achievements to the collective efforts, cooperation, and spirit of service of the entire team. He said that the honors received at the district level are not the achievement of any one individual, but the result of the hard work of the entire Platinum family. He expressed his resolve to continue Rotary’s service work in the future and to continue helping the poor, the helpless, children, the disabled, orphans, and the elderly in need. He also expressed his gratitude to District Governor Rotarian Dr. Ashutosh Agarwal for his guidance and support. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary Rotarian Sanjay Talwar.
