Prayagraj: A meeting of the United Forum of Pensioner Welfare Associations, Prayagraj, was held last Thursday at the residence of Yogendra Pandey in 201 Bhusauli Tola , chaired by Sushil Kumar Srivastava and moderated by Yogendra Kumar Pandey. They demanded the restoration of the old pension, the release of 18 months’ pending DRs, pensions for journalists, an end to outsourcing and privatization, the restoration of old air, railway, and bus travel concessions for cashiers and senior citizens, and the immediate provision of available permanent jobs to youth. In his presidential address, Sushil Srivastava demanded the repeal of the Validation Act, 20% interim relief, inclusion of pensioners’ interests in the TOR, and the construction of an AIIMS and a holiday home in Prayagraj. He also called for reducing employee working hours and providing pensioners in departments that have not received the benefits of the Seventh Pay Commission with these benefits before the Eighth Pay Commission report is released. All pensioner organizations are forced to hold a protest on September 29th because the government is not taking any cognizance of any of our demands. In this regard, on this occasion, CB Mishra, Dwarka Prasad, Ramlal Chacha, Ramesh, Javed Akhtar, Virendra Kumar Pandey, Raju Nama Nigar , PN Dubey, Ramkishore and other distinguished pensioners present have promised to make the protest on December 29th a success with full force. Ramkishore and Virendra Pandey sang beautiful songs. Sushil Srivastava thanked all present.
