Prayagraj: On the fifth death anniversary of Kailashvasi Mahant Narendra Giri Ji Maharaj, former president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, a Samadhi Pujan (worship of the grave) was performed at the Shri Math Baghambari Gaddi in Allahpur on Saturday. On the final day of the two-day event, saints and sages from across the country arrived at the Baghambari Math to pay their respects. Mahant Balbir Giri Ji Maharaj, along with the Panch Parmeshwars, Mahamandaleshwars, and saints of the Akhara, performed the Samadhi Pujan (worship of the grave) ritual. The Math was decorated with flowers and garlands for the occasion. Saints from various parts of the country paid tribute to Mahant Narendra Giri Ji Maharaj by offering flowers and prayers at his Samadhi. As part of the program, a consecration ceremony was performed at the Samadhi site in the morning. Following this, the Panch Parmeshwars, Brahmins, and Mahamandaleshwars performed the Griha Shanti and Vishnu Sahasranama havans. Following the havan, the Samadhi Pujan (worship of the grave) and the Pushpanjali ceremony concluded. More than 1,000 saints and sages participated in the Samadhi Pujan. After the puja, distribution of Prasad to the devotees and saints started at 12 noon.

Mahant Balbir Giri Ji Maharaj said that the revered Guruji will always live on among the people through his thoughts and actions. He welcomed and expressed gratitude to the saints and sages who had arrived from across the country.
