Prayagraj: The North Central Zone Cultural Center, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organized a painting competition on the theme of cleanliness at the Mahatma Gandhi Art Gallery on the center’s campus on Sunday as part of Special Campaign 6, part of the Swachhta Pakhwada. Around 50 participants from schools and colleges enthusiastically took part in the competition.

The competition was divided into three categories. Participants from grades six through eight in the school category, grades nine through 12 in the college category, and graduates in the graduate category depicted various topics related to sanitation on canvas using their imagination and colors. Participants conveyed the message of sanitation through their paintings. The program was inaugurated by Program Advisor Kalpana Sahay, Program Incharge Krishnamohan Dwivedi, and Shreyansh Shukla, who created a canvas painting. The winners of the competition will be announced later. The jury included Dr. Sachin Saini and Ravindra Kushwaha.

Triveni Kala Utsav from October 5: The three-day Triveni Kala Utsav will be held in the auditorium of the North Central Zone Cultural Center from Monday. Center Director Sudesh Sharma said that the festival will begin with a presentation of Haryanvi folk dance on October 5 at 6 pm. The play “Draupadi Gatha” will be staged on October 6. Artists will present Haryanvi folk songs at the festival’s closing ceremony.
