Prayagraj: Zafar Khan, also known as Zafar Dawwa, a senior political figure in the city and a three-time councilor, passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Delhi. He had been unwell for some time and was hospitalized. The news of his death has sent shockwaves through the city of Prayagraj.

Zafar Dawwa, a councilor from the Sabzi Mandi ward, was known for his smile, friendly nature, and revolutionary image. With a long association with the Samajwadi Party, he always spoke out strongly for the problems of the local people and for the development of the ward. His passing is being considered an irreparable loss to the city’s social and political landscape.

As soon as the sad news of his passing reached Prayagraj, a stream of mourners gathered at his residence.
