Continuous decline in political participation worrying, society should recognize its historical role and potential: Rajnikant Srivastava

Prayagraj: There is deep resentment within the Kayastha community over the continued political neglect of the Kayastha community. Due to a continued lack of political participation, the community feels marginalized. In this context, T.P. Singh (High Court), a guardian of the Kayastha community and senior advocate, appealed to the community, saying that the time has come for the Kayastha community to demonstrate its unity and strength, but this demonstration must be conducted with complete dignity, discipline, and positive thinking. On this occasion, Rajnikant Srivastava, former presidential candidate of the K.P. Trust, said that today the Kayastha community appears to be moving towards emptiness in the political landscape. This situation is worrying. The Kayastha community was once known as a leader and initiator in social, political, intellectual, and national movements. Great figures like Khudiram Bose, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, among the first martyrs of the freedom struggle, provided new direction and energy to the nation. Great figures like Swami Vivekananda and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the spiritual realm, Dr. Rajendra Prasad in nation-building, and Munshi Kali Prasad in the fields of social service and charity established the community’s glorious tradition.

He said that society needs to introspect on why we lag behind in political participation today. Our own inaction and lack of initiative to actively participate in politics are also responsible for this. Simply taking pride in our historical achievements will not suffice; in the present moment, we must ensure our participation through social solidarity, political activism, and organizational strength.

Rajnikanth Srivastava said that the Kayastha community has always been identified with national concern, education, leadership, social harmony, and national service. Today, there is a need for the community to unite, including the younger generation, and to establish an effective presence in the democratic system.

On this occasion, a massive bike rally, which started from the Ranjit Singh Sports Complex in Prayagraj, reached the K.P. Trust campus via Subhash Square, where the program concluded. Thousands of Kayastha community members enthusiastically participated in the rally, spreading the message of community unity. A large number of dignitaries and youth of the society including Rajnikanth Srivastava, Professor Manish Srivastava, Vijay Srivastava, Manjeet Srivastava, Manoj Srivastava, Pawan Srivastava (Jhansi), Satya Prakash, Sanju Saxena, Ratan Srivastava, Jeet Srivastava, Amrish Kant Srivastava, Anoop Srivastava, Vipul Kumar, Harsh Srivastava were present in the program.
