Finals of cricket, football and badminton held in Kumbh at conclusion event
Prayagraj: The results of the semi-final and final matches of cricket, football and badminton played on Friday, on the seventh day of ‘Prayag Sports Mahotsav-2024’ organized by Thakur Har Narayan Singh Group of College, Karailabagh, Prayagraj, are as follows – Cricket:- H.N. Singh Striker won the final match by defeating G.I.C. at K.P. College grounds. In the final match being played at the ground today, HN Singh Striker defeated GIC by 34 runs and captured the trophy by winning the final match. Students from a total of 38 secondary schools participated, in which a total of 44 teams were formed and 57 matches were played in 07 days. Devendra Singh Chandel, Founder/Manager of Tha Har Narayan Singh Group of Colleges, conducted the toss among the teams of the final match, introduced them to the players and wished them good luck for winning. On this occasion, Director/Organizer Dr. Uday Pratap Singh, Deputy Director Vinay Pratap Singh, Principal Dr. Ajay Kumar Govind Rao, Akhilendra Pratap Singh, Coach/Secretary Parvez Alam, Sandeep Mishra, Sports Incharge Ashok Kumar Singh, Vivek Kumar Mishra, Inder Mohan. Mani Tripathi etc. were present. The results of today’s game are as follows-
First Semi Final Match Result 1. Mahaveer Public School vs H.N. Singh Striker. H.N. Singh Striker won by 36 runs. Second Semi Final Match Result 1. G.I.C vs. YMCA School & College. G.I.C won by 04 wickets. Final Match Match Result 1. H.N. Singh Striker vs. G.I.C. H.N. Singh. Striker won by 34 runs. Football: – B.H.S. registered a resounding victory by 02-00. The results of the football match being played at C.A.V. Inter College are as follows – First Semi Final Match Result 1. K.V. Mix XI Group vs. D.P.S. Mix H.D.P.S. Badminton:- Prashant in the boys category and girls category in the badminton finals. Mugdha Singh won. Quarter final, semi final and final matches were played today on the third day of the badminton competition being played under ‘Prayag Sports Festival 2024′ at Myhall Sports Complex. The final match was inaugurated by college director/organizer Dr. Uday Pratap Singh, principal Dr. Ajay Kumar Govind Rao and Akhilendra Pratap Singh introduced the players and wished them all the best for winning. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Referee Rajesh Jaiswal, Sports Incharge Dr. Jitendra Verma and Divya Singh etc. were present. The results of the match are as follows – Singles quarter final: – In the boys category of singles quarter final, Aragam Mehrotra won the 02 round game between Aryan Kesarwani by 21-20 and 21-16 points. Ved Dubey defeated Yuvraj Singh 21-19 and 21-18. In the girls’ singles quarter-finals, Vaishvi Tiwari defeated Ananya Singh 21-17 and 21-18. Mugdha Singh defeated Manya Nishad by 21-14 and 21-07.Semi-final:- In the semi-final game of boys category, Aragam Mehrotra defeated Ved Dubey by 21-11 and 21-09, while Prashant Kishore defeated Sumit Singh by 21-21 defeated by -11 and 21-08.
In the girls semi-final, Mugdha Singh defeated Vaishvi Tiwari 21-07 and 21-10. Ayushi Nishad defeated Apurva Tripathi very easily by 21-03 and 21-01. Final:- The final match of the boys category was very thrilling. In the game of 2nd round, there was a tie of 21-19 and 19-21 points, in the third round Rani Prashant Kishore of Revati Devi Inter College defeated Aragam Mehrotra of MV Convent by 21-12. Defeated and got first place. In the girls’ category, Mugdha Singh of Dwarka Prasad Public School registered an easy victory by defeating Ayushi Nishad of St. Anthony’s Convent by 21-04 and 21-02 points. Basketball:- Sanskar International School won by securing the first position.
Basketball: Under Prayag Sports Festival 2024, Sanskar International School vs. in the final match of basketball in the ground of Myhall Sports Complex. It was a very thrilling match between DPS in which Sanskar International School won the first position by 61-51. DPS had to be content with second place. On this occasion, international basketball player RS Vedi, secretary Sheel Ojha, referee Vinod, Puneet, sports in-charge Ajit Upadhyay and Akshay Dwivedi were present in the jury.
