Prayagraj: Preparations for the birth of Lord Jesus have started in churches, homes and other places across the city. Singing groups have started arriving at homes and children are practicing everywhere to stage the celebrations.

On Sunday, Jyoti Asha Aradhana was completed in Prayagraj. At the beginning of the program, Presbyter Incharge Pastor SP Lal of the church offered prayers. Candle light service was organized in the Historical Chowk Church. On this occasion, people of the Christian community reached the church and celebrated the arrival of Lord Jesus Christ and participated in special prayers. Church pastor Rev. SP Lal spread the message of the Bible. He said that the Lord was born for the salvation of the entire mankind. Meanwhile, songs celebrating the birth of Lord Jesus were sung. In the program, Rev. Mridlani DeCosta, pastor of Jamuna Church, offered a special prayer for harmony and world peace. Choirs from many churches sang songs of Christ’s arrival in the program.  On this occasion, singing groups from various churches presented group songs related to the arrival of Jesus. The children of the Church Sunday School also gave captivating presentations. Scripture in the program From the Bible 2 Samuel 22:29 “For you, O Lord, are my lamp; And the Lord takes away my darkness and gives me light” was taken.

Reflecting on which, the chief guest Bishop Dan of Diocese of Lucknow told that Christian life is based on faith and promise. At the end of the program, hundreds of members circled the church building with candles in their hands and sang beautiful songs.  Treasurer Arun Paul said that the Christmas festival, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the world, is remembered for the birth of Jesus Christ, a messenger of peace, who took birth in human form for the welfare of the entire human race and showed the right path. On this occasion, prayers are also offered for all the top citizens of the country so that God helps them and peace and brotherhood prevail in the entire country. After the program, fireworks were shot in the sky by the church members. Which attracted everyone towards itself. On this occasion, Alan Dan, Shabnam Dan, Pastor Kamla Singh, Smriti Singh, Samson Das, Pastor Praveen Massey, Dr. Neetu Massey, Muddit Mohan Srivastavat, Sameer Sunil Kumar Verma, Renu Verma, Rakesh Kumar, Kajal Rafi, Mohit Patrick, Sanjay Khanna, Manjula Khanna, Nishi Khanna and almost all the committee and church members were present.
