Prayagraj: Under the leadership of Metropolitan President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen AIMIM, Afsar Mahmood, attention was drawn towards a very serious and sensitive issue in which people were incited to burn the effigy of National President AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi on Dussehra. Mohammad Zahid, resident of Wasiyabad, Kareli, District Prayagraj is an old criminal, who has also been locked up in Kareli police station in the past on charges of making indecent remarks against the gods and goddesses. Currently, this person is continuously sharing objectionable, provocative and communal posts against the Hindu society through social media platforms, which is creating religious tension in the society. Apart from this, Mohammad Zahid is also using objectionable and provocative language against Asaduddin Owaisi Sahib, who is a respected Lok Sabha MP. It is motivating people to burn them by photoshopping them by showing them as Ravana, which is not only a crime in law but it is also an act that creates serious animosity in the society. Such activities not only hurt religious sentiments, but also seem to be a clear attempt to spoil peace and harmony in the society. Due to these, the faith of crores of citizens has been hurt and deep resentment has spread in the society. The Police Commissioner has been requested to register an FIR against Mohammad Zahid under appropriate sections with immediate effect, ensure his arrest and take strict legal action, so that in future such anti-social elements refrain from such criminal activities.
