Prayagraj: In order to control the huge crowd of customers on the occasion of the upcoming Diwali and Dussehra in Shahganj, the biggest electrical and electronic market of the district, a joint drive was carried out by Shahganj Sarv Vyapar Mandal and Shahganj Police Station Administration.

On the request of Vyapar Mandal, Animesh Agarwal, the police station in-charge, Shahganj Kapil Chal, along with the officer of the Vyapar Mandal who had come to the office of Vyapar Mandal, visited the entire electrical and electronic market. The owners of haphazardly shops and two-wheelers parked here and there were sternly warned and the encroachment in front of the shops was immediately removed from the spot. Vyapar Mandal President Animesh Agarwal said that with the cooperation of the police administration, this drive will now continue continuously; it is very important to organize the market. It was told that on the occasion of Dussehra and Deepawali, there is a huge crowd of customers in the electrical electronic market and due to the increased number of shops on the road; customers have to face extreme inconvenience. The Mandal also gave a 9-point memorandum to the police station in-charge Shahganj Kapil Chahal, in which the music system sellers were asked to keep the volume low, to have full control on the roadside stalls, and additional police force was demanded for Durga Puja including Shahganj market. Police station in-charge Shahganj Kapil Chahal and outpost in-charge Electrical Market Azad assured full cooperation to the Vyapar Mandal and assured to continue the drive and take challan action in case of non-compliance.
