Cultural and felicitation prog held at SJC auditorium
Prayagraj: Nazareth Hospital, a leading healthcare institution of Prayagraj, continued its Golden Jubilee celebrations on Sunday with a grand cultural and felicitation programme held at St. Joseph’s College Auditorium. The event marked the second day of the hospital’s 50-year festivities and witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities.
Kamlesh Tripathi, senior BJP leader and Director of Suvidha Group of Companies, Prayagraj, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Rev. Fr. Ivan Santhosh Dias secretary CBCI Commission for Health, Bangalore and Rev. Sr. Lata CSN Provincial Superior of CSN, while Dr. T. B. Singh participated as the Special Guest. The celebration was presided over by Most Rev. Louis Mascarenhas, Bishop of Allahabad.
The programme began with the traditional prayer dance and lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome of dignitaries with bouquets. A series of cultural performances set the tone for the evening, including energetic dances such as “Bye Now,” “Swadesh,” “Pinga da Pore,” and a thematic presentation on “AI to Human.”
A key highlight of the evening was the dance drama “Story of Nazareth,” portraying the 50-year journey of the hospital from its modest beginnings to becoming a modern, multi-specialty healthcare centre. The hospital honoured its present consultants, EMOs and Resident Doctors, former consultants, visiting consultants, and long-serving administrative leaders, including former Directors, Administrators, Assistant Directors, Matrons and Principals. Bishop Louis, Shri Kamlesh Tripathi and other dignitaries presented the awards.
In his address, Shri Tripathi lauded Nazareth Hospital’s commitment to healthcare excellence, especially its service to the poor and marginalized. He appreciated the hospital’s contribution to Prayagraj’s medical landscape over five decades.
Bishop Louis Mascarenhas, in his presidential message, commended the dedicated efforts of doctors, nurses, and staff who have contributed to the institution’s growth. He emphasized the hospital’s mission of compassionate care rooted in faith and service. The programme also featured a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of organizers, performers, technical teams, sponsors, service providers, and faculty members of St. Joseph’s College who supported the event.
The celebration concluded with an uplifting dance performance titled “Happy Ending”, followed by the National Anthem. Nazareth Hospital’s Golden Jubilee celebrations successfully brought together the medical fraternity, benefactors, and community members, reflecting the institution’s enduring legacy and its vision for the years ahead.
