Prayagraj: Celebrating the martyrdom day of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, the founder of the Jan Sangh and the pioneer of Integral Humanism, as “Samarpan Diwas,” the BJP Prayagraj Metropolitan paid tribute to him by garlanding his statue/portrait in all 15 Mandals of the city on Wednesday. Party workers, under the leadership of BJP Prayagraj Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, paid homage to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya by garlanding his statue at Balsan Square. Speaking as the keynote speaker at a seminar held at the BJP office in Civil Lines, former Cabinet Minister Dr. Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was a devoted devotee of the motherland. He was a dedicated RSS pracharak. His values-based principles and ideas will continue to be a guiding light for every generation in the country. He introduced the philosophy of morality and Antyodaya (upliftment of the poor) to Indian politics. He disseminated his ideas through magazines like “Rashtradharma,” “Panchjanya,” and “Swadesh.” His message of building a strong nation and bringing the light of development to the person standing at the last rung of the society is a source of immense inspiration for all of us. Presiding over the programme, Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s Integral Humanism theory focuses on overall development by establishing harmony between the individual, society, nation and the world, in which importance has been given to religion, culture and Indianness. Satish Chandra Agarwal, BJP State Minister Anamika Chaudhary, Ranjeet Singh, Dr. Shailesh Pandey, Rajendra Mishra, Prabha Shankar Pandey, Shashi Varshney, Vipul Mittal also threw light on the life and work of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Metropolitan General Secretary Ravi Kesarwani conducted the programme. Murari Lal Agarwal gave the vote of thanks.
