Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Congress Party Mohammad Farhan (Divisional Coordinator), while addressing the media, made sharp attacks on the state governmentAdding information, the main points of the press conference are as follows. Congress alleged that the BJP government is resorting to AI generated video against Congress State President Ajay Rai to divert public attention from serious issues like the gruesome incident that happened with the Dalit student of Mahoba and inflation. Congress leaders made it clear that they are ready to face any investigation provided the same agency also conducts a fair investigation of those BJP leaders and ministers against whom there are serious allegations. Loan waiver of Torrent Electricity Company (Agra Municipal Corporation), irregularities in Namami Gange project and other local and state-level issues of corruption were prominently raised in the press conference. Congress has also warned that in the coming time they will expose the alleged criminal records of ministers and MLAs of the BJP government to the public and will further intensify the protests for this.

The entire exercise appears to be part of a deliberate strategy to counter the BJP’s attack and corner the state government on corruption and law and order issues.
