Prayagraj: Rani Revati Devi Saraswati Vidya Niketan Inter College, Rajapur, affiliated to Vidya Bharati, jointly organised World Yoga Day and World Music Day on Saturday.

The program was inaugurated by Principal Satish Kumar Singh by lighting the lamp and offering flowers. After this, Brahmanaad ‘Om’ was chanted thrice and the Vedic prayer ‘Om Sangachchhadhwam Samvadadhwam’ was recited. After warm up exercise the yoga session started. Yoga practice was conducted by senior Acharya Vimal Chandra Dubey, Rupesh Kumar and student Diwakar Singh. In this, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Padahastasana, Bhadrasana, Vajrasana, Ustrasana, Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Setubandhasana, Pawanmuktasana, Shavasana were done. Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom, Sheetali, Bhramari Pranayam and meditation were also practiced.

Principal Satish Kumar Singh said that yoga keeps the body healthy and music keeps the mind happy. By celebrating both days together, the students were given the message of a healthy body and a healthy mind. Manoj Gupta, the school’s media in-charge and music teacher, said that members of the management committee, teachers, teachers, and a large number of students were present on the occasion. The program concluded with the Kalyan Mantra.
