Prayagraj. International Yoga Day was organised with great enthusiasm at Surewin International School in collaboration with Six Sigma IAS Academy and Panch Parivartan, Prayagraj, in which students, teachers and parents participated enthusiastically.
The program highlighted the importance of physical health, mental balance, and a healthy lifestyle through yoga. Participants practiced various yoga asanas and pranayama, reaffirming yoga’s eternal relevance in daily life.
Dr. Shikha Darbari, the chief guest, stated in her address that the true nature of yoga is not limited to physical postures. Describing the first two limbs of Ashtanga Yoga—Yama (moral restraint) and Niyama (personal discipline and good conduct)—as the foundation of life, she said that following these principles makes life meaningful, disciplined, and value-based. She urged all participants to incorporate these principles into their daily practices, leading to holistic development and inner peace.
Captain Prasoon Singh, the special guest of the event, highlighted the transformative power of yoga in establishing harmony between body, mind, and spirit. He said that regular yoga practice develops patience, concentration, and a sense of overall well-being in an individual.
Participation certificates were given to students, teachers and parents who enthusiastically participated in yoga activities under the Yoga Day celebrations.
