Birth anniversary also celebrated
Prayagraj: The 12th installation ceremony of the Lions Club Allahabad Pawan Ganga was held with great enthusiasm on Sunday, September 22, 2026, at a hotel in Civil Lines. District President Uday Chandani inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. Mukund Lal Tandon, Dr. Arpan Dhar Dubey, Nitin Yasharth, and First District President Umesh Chandra Kakkar were present on the occasion.
Initiation Officer Arpam Dhar Dubey Ji initiated 6 new members into Lionism and pinned them with Mandal pins. Umesh Chandra Kakkar administered oath of office and secrecy to the new executive committee for the year 2026-27 and installed them. Newly elected team: President – Lion Rashmi Purwar, Secretary – Lion Shalini Mehrotra, Treasurer – Lion Rashi Tandon, Mandal President Uday Chandani congratulated the new team by presenting a bouquet. Outgoing President Lion Sanjay Chaddha made the new President take charge.
New President Rashmi Purwar greeted everyone and informed them about the service goals of the Mandal. On this occasion, the teachers selected by the Pawan-Ganga Club on the occasion of Teacher’s Day were honored by the Mandal President by giving them certificates, Angavastram and mementos. The birthdays of 3 members of the club, media chairperson Lalu Mittal, Dr. Uma Jaiswal, newly elected president Rashmi Purwar were celebrated with great pomp by cutting a cake. In the end, Mandal President Uday Chandani said that Pawan-Ganga is an excellent model club of Prayagraj. All Lion members should fulfill the service goals with dedication and make ‘We Serve’ a reality.
At the end, Secretary Shalini Mehrotra expressed her gratitude and President Lion Rashmi Purwar declared the meeting closed. In this event, Nitin Yasharth ji, Kunwar BM Singh, Mandal Secretary Rakesh Mohan Balaji, Mandal Treasurer Satish Tandon ji, Prof Brijendra Bajpai, Region Chairperson Anoop Singh, Zone Chairperson Shalini Gupta, Installation Ceremony Coordinator Ajit Mehrotra were present on the stage.
