Prayagraj: Dayanand Yadav (87 years old) former member passed away last night at his Allahpur residence, he left behind two sons, two daughters, grandsons, granddaughters etc. His last rites were performed at Rasulabad Ghat. The funeral procession started at around 3 o’clock, after his demise people from the society and old players of football and hockey reached his house and bid him farewell. He used to play football for Youngsters Club and hockey for Prayag Sporting Club. In the decade of 1969-70, he went to Kathmandu, Nepal as manager with the team of Youngsters Club.

A condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Narayanji Gopal at 202 BHS Ba Gaddi Ha Yojana in which Somnath Chanda, R.P. Bhatnagar, Ashok Singh, Rita Chanda, Pramod Singh, Abhinav Gopal, Sanjeev Chanda, Khurshid Rain, President Narayanji Gopal, Nirupam Chakraborty, Amit Baijal, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Dinesh Upadhyay, Maqbool Ahmed, Alok Sarkar, Bhavdish Yadav, Rajesh Verma, Julie Ojha etc. were present and observed two minutes silence and prayed for the peace of his soul.
