VOWS LEGAL ACTION AGAINST RUMOUR MONGERS
Prayagraj: “Upright and honest Boys’ High School & College principal is being hounded by people close to Morris Edgar Dan, because he has refused to succumb to their unrealistic demands and has continued to tread the path of truth during his tenure spanning over three decades. Under his supervision, the institution is scaling new heights, which is corroborated by the academic excellence attained by students over the years. Aides of Morris Edgar Dan are perturbed by the rising popularity of BHS principal and are resorting mudslinging and unethical ways to satisfy their vested interests. However, their chances of succeeding in their nefarious aim are almost negligible. The entire teaching staff and others associated with BHS are standing rock behind him and determined to thwart any attempt by churning rumour mills to disturb the tranquil atmosphere of institution,” opined a senior BHS teacher on the condition of anonymity, while replying to the queries of mediapersons on the alleged press communiqué being circulated by some people labelling graft charges on principal DA Luke.
When scribes confronted Principal DA Luke over alleged graft charges, he was quick to refute all allegations as baseless, sans any iota of truth and smacks of larger conspiracy by Morris Edgar Dan aides to appoint a puppet in his place, who can serve the interest of corrupt by helping them in gaining control school coffers.
Retorting angrily to the queries of mediapersons, he said, “It has come to my notice that Morris Edgar Dan has sent a press release in regard to a notice from EOW. He has no locus to interfere in the working of the Allahabad High School Society as per the order of Hon. High Court in Writ-C No 12640 of 2024 John Augustine Vs State of UP and 3 others and 34333 of 2015 – The Allahabad High School Society Vs State of UP & Others. The court has refused him as the Chairman of the Allahabad High School Society. It is worth mentioning here that Morris Edgar Dan has a long criminal history and two cases have been lodged against him presently and in this context he is on the run.”
“Earlier an First Information Report was also registered on him on my complaint in Civil Lines police station regarding Rs 3.8 crore scam in which he has misused the said amount of Boys High School. For the same crime he was also in Jail for more than a year. Earlier senior police officials were given probe in this regard and all the allegations were found baseless.
I would also like to inform you that according to the order passed by Hon High Court No. 30896 of 2022, has directed the District Magistrate to appoint the City Magistrate to act as joint signatory of Boys high School and Girls High School. Every financial transaction of the said schools is being directly monitored by the District Magistrate, Prayagraj,” he remarked prior to signing off.
Another senior teacher, who was patiently listening the conversation with mediapersons, quickly added that earlier too, an enquiry was conducted over the alleged charges on the orders of UP Government, but BHS principal came out clean, he was acquitted of all charges levelled by opponents, which was akin to slap on the face of rumour mongers, and this time too, their accusations will fail to see light of the day.
