Prayagraj: Dhumanganj police station arrested four accused in different cases. In one case, two smugglers were arrested with 30 grams of smack, while in the second case, two wanted accused were detained. In the first case, the police caught two youths near Nehru Park Gate. The arrested accused include Golu Kumar (23) and Amit Sonkar (24). A total of 30 grams of illegal smack was recovered from their possession. Police said that this arrest took place on the information of an informer. 16 grams of smack was recovered from Golu Kumar and 14 grams of smack was recovered from Amit Sonkar. In the second case, Dhumanganj police station arrested two wanted accused from near Rajrooppur railway stop bridge. The arrested accused were identified as Lalit Pandey (46) and Vinay Pandey (36). Both of them were wanted in serious cases and were the target of the police for a long time. Both the operations were carried out under the leadership of Inspector-in-charge Amarnath Rai. The police team included sub-inspectors, head constables and constables. Officials said that legal action against the accused will be completed and they will be presented in the court. These prompt actions of the police are being seen as an effort to crack down on crime in the area. Police have appealed to the public to cooperate by reporting suspicious activities.
