Prayagraj: Bharat Vikas Parishad Mangalam Branch Prayagraj organized a program *”Guru Vandan – Chhatra Abhinandan”* today on 06 August, 2025 at 10 am in Maharishi Sankrityayan Public School located in Rajrooppur area of the city under the permanent project Sanskar of the council. All the students including brilliant students of various classes of the school and the Principal, other teachers and staff participated enthusiastically in the program. The program started with lighting of lamps and floral tributes to the pictures of Bharat Mata and Swami Vivekananda, followed by Vande Mataram national song and concluded with the national anthem.

As part of the program, the students of the school first applied tilak on the 11 teachers of the school, then showered flowers on them and covered them with cotton dupattas. After this, the students touched their feet as per Indian tradition and received their blessings. The teachers also felicitated all the children, especially the meritorious students, by giving them certificates.

Mangalam branch had arranged certificates for all the meritorious students. Besides, symbolic gifts were also given to them to encourage them. Principal Mrs. Namrata Chaturvedi was honoured by branch president V P Gupta by presenting a memento along with a shawl. On this occasion, a small boy Rajveer, who had come from Dubai, recited Hanuman Chalisa by heart as a symbol of maintaining Indian values even while living abroad. Another girl Kashish presented a shloka song of 28 names of Radharani in Sanskrit.

The chief guest of the program was branch member, retired principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shri Ramanand Prasad Ji. The event was conducted by branch secretary Shri Sunil Srivastava and thanks were given by branch treasurer Shri Pradeep Jaiswal. Apart from other people, Prayag province’s general secretary Amit Shyam who elaborately highlighted the importance of this program, finance secretary R P Sharma, branch coordinator Sanskar Sudhir Dwivedi, Kalindi branch secretary Mihir Singh and Neera and Sonam Srivastava etc. were present on the occasion.
