Acura Critical Care Hospital fulfilled its social responsibility, women expressed their gratitude
Prayagraj: More than 3000 sanitary kits were distributed by Acura Critical Care Hospital to women and adolescents living in flood relief camps set up in Kareli and Rajapur areas of the city. This work was done under the direction and guidance of District Magistrate Manish Verma, Chief Development Officer Harshika Singh and Chief Medical Officer Dr. A.K. Tiwari.
In a disaster like flood, while basic needs like food, water and shelter are met, issues like women’s personal hygiene and menstrual hygiene are often neglected. Keeping this sensitive issue in mind, the team of Acura Hospital took this important step.
In the distribution program, sanitary kits were distributed to the women living in relief camps in the presence of Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rajesh Singh and Dr. Ramendra Pratap Singh. He praised the efforts of the hospital and said that such initiatives are very important for the dignity and health of women.
Dr. Ilaksh Shukla, Dr. Shekhar Chaudhary, Dr. Manish Kesari, Manager Praveen Singh, Jasmine Nath, Ashish Jha and other hospital staff participated in this service work with dedication. The team not only distributed kits but also made women aware of menstrual hygiene.
The women living in the relief camps expressed their gratitude to the Acura Hospital and the district administration and said that this kind of initiative not only provided them convenience but also made them feel that the society stands with them in this hour of disaster. This initiative is being appreciated as an exemplary social responsibility towards protecting the hygiene, health and self-respect of women in flood-affected areas.
