Prayagraj: This year also, under the aegis of Allahabad News Reporters Club, the ‘Pahal’ program was started. In which various cultural and creative competitions are organized for journalists and their families. Under this series, Rangoli, Mehndi and Painting competitions were successfully organized at Bishop Johnson School and College today on 10 August 2025.

The program was inaugurated by the former president of the club, Mr. Ratan Dixit, by lighting the lamp. Secretary Munendra Bajpai said that on this occasion, Dr. Maneka Verma, General Secretary of the social and environmental organization JISA, Dr. Preetha Pandey (Ishwar Sharan Degree College) and Mrs. Anupama Srivastava were present as special guests. Program coordinator Mr. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra informed that painting competition for children of families of media personnel was organized in three categories in which 192 children participated in painting and 105 female contestants participated in mehndi and rangoli competition.

Painting: Class A (5 to 10 years), Class B (10 to 15 years), Class C (15 to 18 years) Painting Competition Result: Class A: First – Samridh Mishra, Second – Toshika Mishra, Third – Kavya Srivastava Class B: First – Devanshi Mishra and Aditi Srivastava (Joint), Second – Hrithik Khare Aviral Srivastava (Joint), Third – Nivedita Tripathi Class C: First – Navya Jaiswal, Second – Vaishnavi Jaiswal and Rashi Sharma (Joint), Third – Divyanshi Rai

Mehndi Competition Result: First – Mrs. Sonam Mishra, Second – Mrs. Sarita Srivastava, Third – Mrs. Deeksha Mishra. Rangoli Competition Result: 1st – Mrs. Ruby Jaiswal, 2nd – Ms. Poonam Choudhary, 3rd – Ms. Sakshi Kesarwani

The jury comprising Dr. Maneka Verma, Mrs. Anupama Srivastava and Dr. Preetha Pandey observed the works of the participants and gave unbiased decisions. The guests were welcomed by Mr. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra and Mr. Vimal Mishra by presenting a bouquet of flowers. The programme was conducted and vote of thanks was given by the Secretary of the Club, Mr. Munendra Bajpai. On this occasion, many journalists and photographers of print and electronic media including the Joint Secretary of the Club, Anant Ram Kushwaha, senior journalist Abhilash Narayan, Shoaib Rizvi, Meraj Ahmed, Neeraj Jaiswal, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Chandrashekhar Dwivedi, Ram Bahadur Pal, Farhat Khan, Dhirendra Dwivedi, Mohammad Gufran, Manish Paliwal, Deepak Gambhir, Sachin Prajapati, Pankaj Srivastava, Saurabh Mishra, Achintya Ranjan Mishra, Rajneesh Kesharwani, Vivek Srivastava were present. The main event of “Pahal-2025” will be held on Independence Day, 15 August 2025, in which various cultural programmes and felicitation ceremonies will be organised. On this occasion, winners of various competitions will be awarded.
