Meja, Prayagraj; On Friday, devotees took out a Tazia procession on the occasion of Chehlum. The Tazia procession started from Imam Hussain’s Chowk in Lotadh village and ended at the ground of Purva village in Jarar via Lotadh Bazaar Road. The Tazias of Lotadh, Jarar, Uski, Chamanganj and Purva villages merged into each other and turned into a big procession. In the Tazia procession, the youth of Moharram Committee and the youth from far-flung rural areas showed many feats in various new styles. They swung sticks and played drums and shouted slogans of Ya Hussain Ya Hussain. People of the Muslim community participated in the Tazia with the country’s pride and pride tricolor in their hands and kept moving forward remembering the martyrdom of Ya Hussain.
On the other hand, Mohammad Ustad and Mohammad Hussain, famous artisans of Tajia of Lotadh village, said that Muharram is such a festival of Muslims. In which a huge sea of sacrifice and renunciation is visible. Prophet Islam had spread the pure and true religion in the world. To save that, his grandson Hazrat Imam Hussain and his 72 companions were martyred in Shaheed-e-Karbala. Chehlum was celebrated by the devotees on the fortieth day after their martyrdom. Keeping the same customs intact, the people of the Muslim community celebrated the festival of Chehlum with great joy. Senior social worker Sanwar Ali (Lotadh) said that the mourning of Chehlum is observed on the fortieth day of burying the Tajia of Muharram.
