Prayagraj: BJP members expressed grief over the demise of Ajit Bhardwaj, father of BJP leader Rajiv Bhardwaj Babban Dada, and prayed to God for the peace of his soul and wished the family to bear this loss. Media in-charge Rajesh Kesarwani said that late Ajit Bhardwaj ji was a rich social and religious personality and was conscious about Sanatan Dharma. He was a retired employee of Rambagh Railway Department and was undergoing treatment at Railway Hospital. During this, on August 21, he went to Rambagh Railway Station to get medicine, but he died due to a railway accident on Rambagh Railway platform number one. He was around 80 years old. After the post-mortem, his last rites were performed at Daraganj Ghat and his son Rajiv Bhardwaj Babban Dada performed the last rites.

On his demise, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, Regional Vice President Chaudhary Chandra Gupta, former councilor Omprakash Dwivedi, Pankaj Tripathi, Gyaneshwar Shukla, Vivek Agarwal, Rajesh Kesarwani, councilor Rudra Sen Jaiswal, Mukesh Lara, Sunita Chopra, Girjesh Mishra, Pramod Modi, etc. hundreds of businessmen and workers of social and religious organizations participated in the funeral procession and paid tribute.
