The ancient Dadhikando fair of Sulem Sarai, carrying out the centuries-old religious tradition with all its divinity and grandeur, started on Sunday at 8 pm with the worship and aarti of Lord Krishna Balram in the Thakur Dwara temple located at Sulem Sarai. In the hundreds of years old ancient Dadhikando fair, the worship and aarti of Lord Krishna Balram was done as per the rituals by chief guest former Justice Arun Tandon, MP Praveen Patel, BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, former MP Keshari Devi Patel, former MP Shailendra Kumar, former Satyaveer Munna and other honored guests.

After the worship and aarti of the Lord, Sri Krishna Balram, along with his team, rode on a symbolic elephant to give live darshan to the devotees. Flag banners, pipe band, DJ band, Dhammal Dhol, Bhangra, brass band and the Damru group from Kashi were the center of special attraction of the team. Dozens of Chaukis based on the deeds of Lord Sri Krishna kept displaying their tableaux throughout the night in the entire fair area. The team, led by Dadhikando Fair President Piyush Kesarwani, started from Sulem Sarai Thakur Dwara and after offering prayers at Sulem Sarai, Jayantipur, Pritam Nagar, Dhoomanganj, PAC situated Mai Ji Kutiya, ended by reaching back to Thakur Dwara via Meerapatti, Transport Nagar, Mundera Chungi. The entire fair area from Chowfatka to Begum Bazaar was illuminated with colourful lights, spreading its unique charm the entire night. People at various places enjoyed Anarsa, Sohan Papdi, Chaat, Chinese food and children enjoyed the swings till late night, loudspeaker competitions kept happening at the intersections, a huge crowd gathered at the Dadhikando fair, devotees were eager to get a glimpse of the Lord. People thoroughly enjoyed the fair the entire night. There were tight security arrangements at the fair. A large number of police, PAC, civil police personnel remained deployed throughout the fair. The team was headed by fair chief Virendra Kesarwani, fair in-charge Subhash Kesarwani, convener Narendra Kheda, Dharmachandra Jaiswal, Atul Kesarwani, Rakesh Jain, Gulshan Arora, Manoj Gupta, Piyush Jaiswal, spokesperson Himanshu Nikki Gupta, Sonu Gupta, Vicky Sahu, Mukesh Total, Ankur Rastogi, Amarjeet Singh, Rakesh Kesarwani, Sunil Kesarwani along with fair committee officials and dignitaries were present.
