Prayagraj: On Saturday, a delegation of traders met the secretary of Prayagraj Development Authority, Ajit Singh, and expressed their protest against the notices being issued to the traders of the west of the city by the Prayagraj Development Authority. In this regard, the traders submitted a memorandum to the Vice President of Prayagraj Development Authority. The general secretary of the federation, Dhananjay Singh, said that under the master plan, notices are being issued to citizens and traders living on both sides of the GT Road, saying that they are carrying out commercial activities in residential buildings, and they should respond, otherwise their houses will be demolished.

Due to this, fear has spread among the traders and exploitation is also increasing. A memorandum was submitted demanding that the threat of demolition of houses should not be written in the notice. If the development authority wants to make the benefits of government schemes reach the people, then with the help of the Vyapar Mandal, make the traders aware and try to pass as many maps as possible. Most of the houses were built before the emergence of the development authority. It is wrong to declare such houses illegal. Secretary Ajit Singh has assured that no one’s house will be demolished and further awareness campaign will be run with the cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce so that a large number of citizens living in this area can benefit.

Among those who submitted the memorandum were Rana Chawla, Akhilesh Singh, Dhananjay Singh, Vijay Jaiswal, Atin Gupta, Vishal Kesarwani, Mohammad Gufran, Sardar Jatinder Singh, Mahmood Ahmed, Sahil Arora, Krishley Kesarwani Kesarwani and a large number of traders.
