Prayagraj: The Department of Pharmacy at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) has secured the 87th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The department has also been ranked 12th in Uttar Pradesh among all pharmacy institutions.
Leadership Commends Collaborative Effort: Commenting on this achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra B. Lal stated, “This is a testament to the collective efforts and positive spirit of our faculty and students within the Pharmacy Department, as well as the unwavering support of the Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance and Assessment (IQAA) led by Prof. Antony J. Raj. This ranking reflects our university’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation in health sciences.”
Senior university officials, including Prof. (Dr.) Jonathan A. Lal (Pro VC, Academic Affairs), Prof. (Dr.) B.Mehera (Pro VC, Administration), Prof. (Dr.) Ritu P. Dubey (Pro VC, PMD), Prof. (Dr.) Ranu Prasad (Registrar), Prof. (Dr.) CJ Wesley (Additional Registrar), and all directors, praised the Pharmacy Department for bringing honor to the institution.
Commitment to Excellence: Dr. Shekhar (Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences) and Prof. (Dr.) GS Shukla (OSD to VC, Health Science Education and Development) also praised the teamwork and motivated the staff.

A Record of Consistent Excellence: The NIRF ranking, announced annually by the Ministry of Education, evaluates higher education institutions across 17 categories. This achievement marks the sixth time that the SHUATS Pharmacy Department has been ranked among the top 100 institutions since 2019 (2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025), demonstrating a consistent record of excellence and a strong foundation for future growth.
