Prayagraj: Senior BJP councilor Umesh Chandra Mishra died yesterday during his treatment at Amita Hospital. His last journey was taken out from his residence Alopi Bagh. His last rites were performed at Daraganj Ghat and his younger son Shivam Mishra lit the funeral pyre. Hundreds of leaders, workers and officials of other political parties and social organizations including BJP participated in the last journey and expressed condolences on his demise. MP Pravin Patel, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, Regional Vice President Awadhesh Chandra Gupta while expressing condolences said that councilor Umesh Chandra Mishra was the guardian of all of us and he dedicated his life to nation, religion and social service. He lived his political life as a free enemy and was helpful to all. His demise is an irreparable loss for the BJP, Municipal Corporation and Prayagraj.
During this, Sachin Mishra, Kunj Bihari Mishra, Varun Kesarwani, Ravi Padum Jaiswal, Rajesh Kesarwani, Raju Pathak, Girjesh Mishra, Raghavendra Singh, Vivek Mishra, Pramod Modi, councilor Shiv Sevak Singh, Anand Ghildiyal, Nem Yadav, Bhola Tiwari, Mayank Yadav, Kiran Jaiswal, Kusum Lata Gupta, Mukesh Kasera, Rudra Sen Jaiswal, Ashish Dwivedi, Akash Sonkar, Sonu, former councilor Anand Agarwal, Subhash Vaishya, Manik Chandra Gupta, Ajay Agrahari, etc. BJP members and leaders of other parties expressed condolences and paid tribute by observing two minutes of silence and prayed to God to give a place to councilor Umesh Chandra Mishra in his lotus feet and give strength to the family members to bear the pain.
