Prayagraj: On Monday, the Interact club  of Rotary Allahabad midtown hosted a cervical cancer awareness session at Vivekanand Auditorium in Ganga Gurukulam. Dr. Radha Rani Ghosh, a senior oncologist, Kamla Nehru Memorial Hospital, shared valuable insights on causes, symptoms, and prevention of cervical cancer. The session aimed to educate students and staff about early detection and risk reduction.

Dr. Ghosh emphasized the importance of regular screenings and HPV vaccinations. Girl students from  classes 8th to 12th actively participated in the  Q&A session, gaining knowledge and clarifying doubts. The session was well-received, and students appreciated the informative session. Radha Saxena, member of Rotary Allahabad midtown announced a free cervical cancer vaccination drive for the Girl child with the consent of their parents. This initiative aims to promote health awareness and prevention among our community.

Principal Mrs Madhuri Srivastava said that Health awareness is crucial for our students ‘ well- being .She was delighted that Interact  club organized this informative session on cervical cancer. The event successfully raised awareness about cervical cancer, encouraging students to prioritize their health. The Interact Club of Ganga Gurukulam extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ghosh and the school administration for their support. The session’s impact was evident in the students’ enthusiasm and newfound understanding of cervical cancer prevention. By hosting such events,  Ganga Gurukulam continues to foster a culture of awareness and health consciousness among its students.
