Prayagraj: A Workshop on Cyber Security was organized at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) in collaboration with the Department of Forensic Science, the Department of Food, Nutrition & Public Health, and the National Service Scheme (NSS). The programme, held at the JIBB Auditorium, focused on sensitizing students towards safe digital practices and equipping them with knowledge to tackle the growing menace of cybercrime.
The workshop began with an opening prayer, followed by addresses introducing the vision of the University, the role of NSS, and the theme of cyber security. Technical sessions formed the core of the programme, with Mr. Pushkal Pandey, Director TFWF, highlighting the emerging challenges of cyber threats, and Mr. Vikash Kumar, Cyber Expert, providing practical insights on digital security, cyber fraud awareness, and identity protection.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively interacted with the speakers. Many participants expressed that the sessions gave them confidence to navigate the digital world more securely and responsibly. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Alka Gupta (NSS Unit 5), Dr. Reena Mehta (NSS Unit 8), Dr. Munish Kr. Mishra, and Dr. Lav Kesharwani. The program also marked the graceful presence of Prof. (Dr.) Dipak Kumar Bose, Mr. Satyam Kesari, and Ms. Vetolu P. Tunyi, along with other faculty members and students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments. By addressing one of the most pressing issues of the digital era, SHUATS reaffirmed its commitment to preparing youth as both academically competent and digitally secure citizens.
