Prayagraj: The Department of Food, Nutrition and Public Health, Naini Agricultural Institute (NAI), SHUATS, today organized a free eye check-up camp. The camp was organized in collaboration with Santosh Sewa Foundation and ASG Eye Hospital, providing free eye examinations for students from various departments of the university. The program began with a formal welcome of the special guests by professor dr Ritu prakash Dubey with flower bouquet toMr. Akhand Pratap Singh, President of Santosh Sewa Foundation, and Dr. Vinod Mishra and his medical team from ASG Eye Hospital. During the camp, Dr. Mishra and his team conducted comprehensive eye check-ups and provided valuable advice to the students on maintaining good vision.
Speaking at the event, Professor (Dr.) Ritu Prakash Dubey, Head of the Department and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (PMD), highlighted the link between a balanced diet and eye health. “Good eyesight is a crucial part of our overall health, and it is directly linked to the nutrients we consume,” she stated. “We organized this eye check-up camp to emphasize that nutrition impacts every part of our body, including our vision. It is our goal to empower students with this holistic knowledge.” The initiative received blessings from the Dean of NAI, PRO VC Administration,Professor (Dr.) Biswaroop Mehra. He expressed his well wishes for the students and the department, stating, “May the knowledge and health benefits gained during this week become a foundation for your well-being. Your good health is our greatest blessing, and we are committed to providing an environment that supports your holistic development.” The event was attended by a large number of students and staff, including Professor Neru Bala, Dr. Alka Gupta, Dr. Neha Mishra, Ms. Divya, Ms. Geeta, and Ms. Lalita, ensuring a successful culmination of the week-long celebration.
